Description:
Following "Bug#26328274 SKIP_NAME_RESOLVE RESULTS IN REMOTE IP GETTING MATCHED WITH LOCALHOST" has fixed an issue in MySQL Server,
adding an assert to servers code. The bug should also align the X Plugin code to not to fail the assert.
In result x.connection_local_scope test fails on freebsd and macos machines.

How to repeat:
Run x.connection_local_scope test on a debug version of MySQL Server.

Suggested fix:
Remove code triggering the assert.

The fix for Bug #26328274 resulted in an assertion in debug builds when an empty host name was used for X Plugin connections. The issue is now fixed.
