Description:
MySQL Administrator mysql-administrator-1.0.19-1.suse91.src.rpm builds using command "rpmbuild --rebuild mysql-administrator-1.0.19-1.suse91.src.rpm" with a bunch of errors, but creates a package. The resulting package can be installed, but the mysql-administrator tool crashes at various places in its operation.

I didn't bother getting a backtrace of the crashes, as the first problem to fix is the build errors.

I cannot install the binary rpm for mysql-administrator for suse 9.1 as it doesn't look for necessary libraries in the /opt/gnome/lib64 dir - it only looks in /opt/gnome/lib dir. Also, there is no amd64 binary rpm for suse 9.1 available for download.

I've attached the build attempt output as a text file.

I set this as S2 as I can work around not having the tool, but it's a serious problem for me, as I'm needing to have it for use for studying purposes for certification.

Thanks!

How to repeat:
1.) Get a Suse 9.1 AMD64 system.
2.) Get the source rpm.
3.) rpmbuild --rebuild [sourcefile]
4.) View output.

Suggested fix:
None known to me.

Hi

The log file you sent don't have errors and the warnings in it are harmless (mostly caused by some misbehaved libraries). Please post a backtrace of the crash you got.
