Description:
Standard Windows column headers auto size to the maximum length of the data contained in that column when you double-click on the column header seprator. Query Browser does not seem to have this feature and it would be very useful.

How to repeat:
Double-click on the column header seperator of a resultset in Query Browser 1.1.5. Nothing happens.

Suggested fix:
The column preceding the seperator should auto-size to the width of the longest row it contains when the seperator is double-clicked.

I would like to add to this feature request something along related.

At present, the default behaviour for the resultset grid appears to be to auto-size the columns to the width of the record with the longest content. However, if you have a very short field content, then sometimes the column name header is totally obscured and '...' is the only thing shown in the column header!

I would like to request that the default behaviour be changed such that the columns will never auto-size to a width shorter than that of the column name. Of course, manual sizing to smaller widths should still be possible...

Thank you for a reasonable feature request.

Many thanks for writing a bug report. We are on the way to implement full functionality of MySQL Query Browser into MySQL Workbench. We won't add this feature request anymore.
