Description:
It would be nice to have stretch release next to the current jessie and wheezy after the full freeze of Debian next version. Stretch has not released yet, but help to prepare the new release it could help a lot for support the Debian testing after full freeze.

How to repeat:
add the following line to your apt sources list
deb http://repo.mysql.com/apt/debian/ stretch mysql-5.7 mysql mysql-utilities-1.5 connector-python-2.1

apt-get update

Suggested fix:
I tested and looks the source package compile well, so possible you just have to add to your CI.

Setting to feature request since this isn't a bug, but we will definitely have full Stretch support :)

It would be really nice to have this before the final release, for testing purposes

Yes, we're hoping to have Stretch packages available with the next MySQL release

Server 5.6.36, 5.7.18 and 8.0.1 are now available for Stretch on repo.mysql.com (and supported by apt-config). Note that since Stretch has not been released we can't offer full support (but they are of course tested, and since it's in full freeze we don't anticipate any issues), so they are recommended for testing only.
