Description:
I upgraded my windows 200 to service pack 3, which unfortunately doesn't provide support for running MS-DOS 16 bit applications any more.
I had MySQL 3.22 from that time and I wanted to upgrade the server so I installed version 4.1. But to my surprise, Perl doesn't support yet MySql 4.1 and I am not interested in using a product in a different way.
So I tried installed the last version of MySql supported by Perl, which it seems to be 4.0.22, but the installed wouldn't start since it seems to be a 16 bit Ms-DOS based application.

How to repeat:
Download the .zip package for MySql 4.0.22 for Windows installation.
Run WinZip.
Excecute Setup.exe

The .exe fails to start.

Suggested fix:
Please, provide 32 bit msi installers for versions up to 4.0.22 since it is likely the version I (and any CGI/Perl developer) would like to use.
I am not interested in using Version 4.1 untill Perl doesn't provide a way to interface with it. (DBD-mysql perl package).
Attempts to connect to MySql using ODBC driver has also failed.

This problem was already reported with the installer 3.23.XX and 4.0.XX
and until now we aren't able for to reproduce in our machines, it is
something happens in specific environment. The work-around is you
to use the package with no-installer which you can get from our
download page.
