Description:
have problem connect to my MySQL alpha5.0.1 server

using MySQL ODBC 3.51. I got this error:

[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

Please help!

How to repeat:
start alpha5.0.1 with
c:/mysql-5.0.1-alpha/client_debug/mysqld.exe --defaults-file=c:/mysql-5.0.1-alpha/client_debug/my.ini

On ODBC manager, set up a DNS to talk to this server. click the Test bottom.
Get this error.

It works fine with 4.1.9 release

Suggested fix:
ODBC manager should be able to connect to alpha5.0.1 server.

I did a test with Connector/ODBC 3.51.11-1 against a server 5.0.3 and
it passed the connectio test. Please upgrade the driver.
