Description:
When connecting to a MySql Linux Server from Windows 10 to manage a Magento 2 database, I consistently have problems using the workbench to do selects from tables with text columns, the tables don't have much data, and the query works perfectly well on the Linux machine directly, which leaves Workbench as the problem area.

I didn't see anything in the log that has to do with this query.

How to repeat:
SELECT * FROM magnento2.catalog_product_entity_text;

Actually this last time it didn't hang, but returned
Error Code: 2013 Lost connection to MySQL server at 'waiting for initial communication packet', system error: 10060
Log shows
