Description:
Using the latest driver 3.51.10 with the latest version of MySQL 4.1.9 you are not able to connect using ASP code. Each time you get a "Catastrophic Failure" message via the ASP code. However if you do this via Windows ODBC management application it works and connects perfectly. Thus I think this problem must be related to only when you use ASP.

How to repeat:
Install the latest version of MySQL and ODBC Connector and try to write a simple ASP page to connect to that database. It won't work!

Suggested fix:
I don't know but I know it's killing a lot of users out there. Please help! Thanks again!

Please do not submit the same bug more than once. An existing
bug report already describes this very problem. Even if you feel
that your issue is somewhat different, the resolution is likely
to be the same. Because of this, we hope you add your comments
to the original bug instead.

Thank you for your interest in MySQL.
