How to repeat:
install MySQL Workbench on mac osx 10.8.5
startup MySQLWorkbench 
add new database location
click on add
crash occurs
reopen MySQLWorkbench and it crashes immediately

Thank you for the report.
We are not able to reproduce the reported issue on OS X 10.9 and above and confirmed with dev's that WB requires OS X v10.9+.
