Description:
The PFS just added an unreasonable number of config variables to make its use of memory scalable. One variable should be enough. Unfortunately, the one variable today is performance_schema=OFF. I would like to use PFS in 5.8, please make that possible.

See http://mysqlserverteam.com/new-in-mysql-5-7-performance-schema-scalable-memory-allocation/

How to repeat:
read the wiki

Suggested fix:
Reduce the number of config variables
