Description:
With widescreen and even standard 16:9 aspect ratio monitors, there is significant horizontal but relatively limited vertical screen real estate. With Output Area Panel enabled, viewing query results is very difficult when you have 3 windows stacked on top of each other (query tab, result tabs and Output Area Panel).

How to repeat:
Open Output Area panel and run a text heavy, property formatted query.

Suggested fix:
Ideally, Output Area, Secondary Sidebar and the Result Tab Panels would be side or bottom dockable to allow user to best manage their screen real estate regardless if it's a landscape or portrait setup. Just making Result Tabs side dockable would go a long way that way you can have your query tab and result tab next to each other.

Workaround - use toggle panels/sidebars

Thank you for verifying my feature request. Suggested workaround makes no sense, however.

This is a useful feature request. Better dockable panels would make MySQL Workbench easier to use on different screen sizes, especially when managing limited screen real estate during long query reviews. It reminds me how real estate developers also focus on making space more flexible and practical: https://www.uniondevelopers.com/
