I couldn't repeat with my own table please provide the create table statement so we can try to repeat. Also with save you meant apply button action?. Thanks.

The crash occur when changing some record on grid after select query, not when changing table structure.

Thank you for the feedback. That what I did, create a table with 2 columns first INT PK AI NN and the other varchar(20) filled with some rows then from WorkBench SELECT * FROM tb and edited the varchar column and apply changes (not crash). My remote connection is on local network is you remote connection slower? say ADSL kind speed?. Thanks.

Local connection works fine, try it in a remote server outside your local network, like RDS instance on Amazon Web Service or similar.
