Description:
The new Columns tab presents column settings as a grid of controls(checkboxes, etc) as in the past versions. In 6.3.5 a new area was added bellow the grid mentioned that presents controls to fine-tune the selected column.

As a heavy user of the model designer, I have to say the following:

1. The grid UI is much more usable and intuitive. It gives both the small and the big picture in one sight.

2. The only 'plus' of the additional UI is the huge comments space. I hope the exporting of comments now works - there were bug in previous versions.

3. I suggest to have the additional UI presented in a pop-up, modal window, rather than the way it was implemented now.

How to repeat:
not applicable

Suggested fix:
Implement the single column presentation and tuning control in a pop-up, modal window, rather than the way it was implemented now.
