Description:

In using the Query Browser 1.1.5 (I used to use 1.0.8 beta I believe), I can't paste in a large bit of SQL code.

Instead of the code appearing in the window, bits of the Window's GUI are displayed (either from whatever program is physically underneath the Query Browser software, especially when you drag the window around....)

For a laugh, when you've got the problem occuring, move the Query Browser window right down to the bottom of the screen, so the query entry isn't displayed. Then try moving it back up..... it won't budge - it's as if the query window doesn't want to show itself. :)

Unfortunately this "copying bug" is preventing me from copying in some of my larger SQL query functions... so I've had to go back to my older 1.0.8 version.

How to repeat:
Try copying in this line:

lkjhfgjsdjkhgsjkdgkjsdhfjgkhfghsdjkfhgjkshgjkhfdjfkhgdjfkldfhg

It should display in the window correctly (obviously you can't actually execute that!).

Now delete it, and copy in this:

lkjhfgjsdjkhgsjkdgkjsdhfjgkhfghsdjkfhgjkshgjkhfdjfkhgdjfkldfhg
dfjhjfhrjhjhkfjkbnjgknjrtkhdofjhodjghojynhoi;jdthijyhoi;jdghj

The window becomes garbled, with bits of GUI being displayed rather than the actual code.

Suggested fix:
No idea!

I'm blind... When I took the screenshot, I finally realized it was actually throwing an Access Violation...

Access violation at address 00568F76 in module ' MySQLQueryBrowser.exe'. Read of address 0000002C

Please delete this bug report.

It's already been covered:

http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=7835

At the time I didn't realize it was an Access Violation, and my feeble search for "pasting in query window" didn't return much. :)
