Description:
will not load. Uninstalled, tried reinstall, still get critical error.

Thank you for your feedback.
I tried to reproduce the issue at my end using MySQL 5.6.28 but not seeing any issue in Notifier.
Could you please provide repeatable test case (exact screenshot, etc. - please make it as private if you prefer) to confirm this issue at our end?
