Hi, A new version of mysql-apt-config will be released for the 5.7 GA (I'll post an update on this issue when it's ready). 0.3.8 was a minor fix for certain platforms, and does not contain any changes for debian8.

ok. Thank you. I was just trying to get the GA version of 5.7.9. And I kept getting the dmr version. As long as you know that it is an issue I'm fine with it. Thank you.

Hi, You should now be able to download the updated mysql-apt-config from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/repo/apt/ Note that if you already have the 0.3.7-package installed, running apt-get update and apt-get upgrade should be sufficient.

This worked like a charm. I had tried to do a normal apt-get update and then an upgrade, yesterday and today. But they didn't have anything new available. And just now I got a new version of mysql-apt-config when I ran update. I set the download to 5.7 from 5.7-dmr everything worked as expected. Thank you.
