All MySQL components were X64 when provided.

Read this blog today. This works to get me past the installer. I guess the other third-party uninstaller I used didn't work as well as Revo. Re: MySQL for Visual Studio 2015 Support Posted by: Jan Bij () Date: August 17, 2015 08:57AM Hi, I think the installation program left something in the registry, so at the end of the uninstall, there is a roll back. As a sollution to this problem, I've used Revo uninstaller and delete all related keys in the registry and also all the location of files used by the program. So that there was nothing left anymore. After that i could install version 1.2.4 withou any problem, but using the msi file and not the installer. My problem is solved, but not the real problem in the installation program. On the internet I found the same problems registered on various versions of MySQL Visual studio support.

Hi Steven, Thank you for using MySQL and for your time reporting these problems. It seems that you solved the first issue you mentioned (inability to install version 1.2.4) by removing the installation using a 3rd party tool. Is that correct? If that is the case, we want to confirm the root cause of that problem was actually the issue with uninstalling a previous MySQL for Visual Studio Version. We already have an existing bug about that: http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=71226. You can susbscribe to it to be notified when it is fixed. Please bear in mind that a bug report should contain only a single issue, not a group of them. That information can be found at the following link: https://bugs.mysql.com/how-to-report.php Best regards.

Yes. My first issue is resolved. My 2nd issue is resolved when MySQL Visual studio 1.2.4 was able to install. I see MySQl connector in VS list. I will watch for a fix. Thanks!
