Description:
https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/repo/yum/ provides information on the yum repo but it does not in any place actually provide the url to the repos.

How to repeat:
I don't use the repo directly as I need to double check updates prior to applying them and making them visible to my systems, so often if I want to download a newer version I need to go directly to the repo. (Yes, I could mirror this internally to my own systems but I don't do that yet.)

However the base url of the repos are not visible on the page. This leads me to have to download the community release repo which has these descriptions (in the /etc/yum.repos.d/*.repo files in order to find what I'm looking for.

Suggested fix:
So please provide a link to the repos so they are easier to go and find the rpms should we need to do this manually.

Some info in doc - https://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql-yum-repo-quick-guide/en/
       http://repo.mysql.com/yum/mysql-5.6-community/el/6/x86_64/

Yes, and the base url seems to be something like: http://repo.mysql.com/yum/

From there I can find what I need. Having to download another doc to find what I want is time-consuming and adding the link to the page should hurt no-one I hope. So thanks for clarifying where to find the 5.6 rpms (I was looking for the latest 5.7 DMR versions) and once I found the url it was of course very easy.

I agree, should be handy to have here too https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/repo/

Thanks,
Umesh

The base URL of the MySQL Repository (http://repo.mysql.com) has been added to the "Selecting a Release Series" section of A Quick Guide to Using the MySQL Yum Repository (http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql-yum-repo-quick-guide/en/#repo-qg-yum-select-series). Given the context and the flow of the document, that looks to be the best place for the information to appear.

The change will be visible in the next build of the document.
