http://dev.mysql.com/doc/relnotes/mysql/5.7/en/news-5-7-8.html thanks me for the innodb_log_checksum_algorithm patch. This is incorrect, the patch author is Alexey Kopytov.

I have noted this on bug 75595, but the attribution has not been fixed yet.
