which version will fix the bug? in 1.1.6? in 1.1.5 the bug still live
[10 Jan 2005 7:45] Mike Lischke
I mean 1.1.6 of course, because 1.1.5 is out already so it is difficult to fix it :-)

I'm very sorry for the long delay that this bug has seen, but our team was extremely busy. But now I'm here trying to fix this problem. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this bug on my developer machine, which is a german XP (SP2). Please see the third attachment of this bug entry. It is a text from the famous 5 books (Chinese text of the Analects (論語)). I used this text to test QB but cannot find any problem with it (using version 1.1.14) related to this bug entry.

Note: for proper display you have to set a width for the code font (see options), otherwise the wider chinese character will overlap each others or appear cut off. Please let me know if you still see this error on your machine and if so give me the exact steps how to reproduce it.

Thank you,

Mike

i found SQLyog is more better than qb.
yes,i have already set width for the code font and save the option, but when i restart qb,i must reset the width again.the value of width for the code font could not be saved. i have reported this bug already,but......
sqlyog support chinese very well,no any prblem,so now i use sqlyog.

sorry.

I'm very sorry that I can't help you. It's only natural that you switch over to another tool if it serves your needs better. However, don't get too excited about your new tool. It only supports chinese on your chinese system. It doesn't know how to handle Unicode or how to load utf-8 encoded files. QB however has to work for all languages in the data on all supported platforms, regardless of the language of that platform. If you only need chinese data on a chinese system then SQLyog might be better suited for you. In any other case it is a step backwards.
