Description:
After downloading the 5.7.6_m16 development release web installer (MSI), i was unable to upgrade my MySql service to 5.7. Refreshing the Catalog showed the version i want is available, but it's not appearing in the products list.

From the Catalog Change History:
Update done on 3/31/2015. Added or changed packages were:
- MySQL Server 5.7.6 Architecture: X64 Published: 3/10/2015
- MySQL Server 5.7.6 Architecture: X86 Published: 3/10/2015

In the Product List:
MySql Servers
|- MySQL Server
   |- MySQL Server 5.6
      |- MySQL Server 5.6.23 X64
      |- MySQL Server 5.6.23 X86

After removing all MySQL components, i still cannot install it as a new service.

How to repeat:
Download & install: http://dev.mysql.com/get/Downloads/MySQLInstaller/mysql-installer-web-community-5.7.6.0-m1...

* Install non-server components (Workbench, Notifier, etc.)
* From the main Installed Products page of the installer, click [Catalog...]
* Update the Catalog (noting the most recent version of Server available), return to the main page
* Click [Add...], look under "MySql Servers"
* Dev version is not available for install/upgrade

Suggested fix:
Either allow development versions to be installed through the web installer (since the MSI can be downloaded for this method), or don't provide a web installer for development versions.

That's great, but your screenshots don't change what i experienced. Can you offer some suggestion for how i can get the correct version to show up in my installer?

If you click Add instead of update you get the 5.7 server list?. Thanks.

*sigh* Stupid-User-Syndrome.

i'm closing the issue. i completely removed everything & rebooted my PC. Upon re-installing the Installer, i now see 5.7.6 on the product list. i'm still skeptical about upgrades from existing installs, but we'll see what happens on the next release.

Thanks for your assistance.
