Description:
After downloading MySQL Utilities 1.5.3 from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/utilities/ and installing it (installation completed without errors), attempting to launch MySQL Utilities Console is producing the following error:

C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Utilities\mysqluc.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

I ensured that I had downloaded the correct 32-bit version:

Windows (x86, 32-bit), MSI Installer (mysql-utilities-1.5.3-win32.msi) so this is not a user error.

How to repeat:
Download Windows (x86, 32-bit), MSI Installer (mysql-utilities-1.5.3-win32.msi) from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/utilities/ and install on a 32-bit Windows XP SP3 machine.

From All Programs > MySQL > MySQL Utilities run MySQL Utilities Console.

Observe the following error:

C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Utilities\mysqluc.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

The XP platform is no longer supported for the server.
