Now I created a new limited user account and on this one it works. So it has something to do with my account. I will try to investigate it more.

Please reopen that bug. I have found out that is error occures if you select "Associate sql/query files with Query Browser" on a limited user account. Query Browser tries then on the next restart to associate it (after choosing a server), but it does not have permissions to do so. It should be HKEY_USERS\<user_id>_Classes, instead of in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT. <user_id> has to be replaced with some long alphanumeric combination I don't know where it come from. At least some error like this should not prevent Query Browser to connect to a server.
