Thank you for the bug report. I was able to repeat when the Windows machine is a fresh installation (none MySQL Product Installed).

Posted by developer: Fixed as of the upcoming MySQL Installer 1.4.5 release, and here's the changelog entry: A new installation would sometimes fail while performing a "Developer Default" or "Full" type of installation, and instead it would report the following error: "Unable to determine the products that correspond with that setup type." Workaround: perform a "Custom" type of installation. Thank you for the bug report.
