Description:
MySQL Query Browser displays Chinese characters as scrambled codes in any output window.

How to repeat:
Select any table that contains data in Chinese.

Suggested fix:
Add support for multibyte characters.

I recently found that this problem also happens when editing column data with Chinese characters, and I think this could be related to the Character Set function in MySQL Server 4.1.8 because the displayed result changes as the charset setting in the server config file changes.

set server charset setting is utf-8,and recreate table.

Recently I have installed MySQL Query Browser on Traditional Chinese Windows XP machine to edit MySQL data but when attempting to enter Chinese characters, the program hangs. In addition, the Chinese characters are shown in scrambled characters.
