Description:
Incorrect suffixes for shared libraries (.sl instead of .so) on ia64-hp-hpux11.22 target are created. Libtool should be updated.

How to repeat:
configure on this platform

Suggested fix:
Libtool should be updated.

Thanks for the info - we will have a HP-UX/IA64 build system available within the
next few days and will then be able to verify this.

OK, we finally have our HP-UX/IA64 build system up and running:
HP-UX B.11.22 U ia64 0127632433

Libtool indeed uses .sl as the suffix for shared libraries:

  soname_spec="\${libname}\${release}.sl\$major"

But are you sure that this really should be changed to ".so"? A quick glance
into /usr/lib revealed, that all libraries end on ".sl" in there.

Do you have any special reason why you think that "*.so" is correct here?

.sl suffix used for PA-RISC architecture libraries and .so for IA64 ones
