Description:
In this page:

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/mysqldump.html#option_mysqldump_default-character-s...

I read:

"Use charset_name as the default character set. See Section 10.5, “Character Set Configuration”. If no character set is specified, mysqldump uses utf8, and earlier versions use latin1."

What earlier versions? I don't think that this is true of any 5.6 version. In fact, in 4.1 documentation:

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/4.1/en/mysqldump.html#option_mysqldump_default-character-s...

I read:

"If no character set is specified, mysqldump from MySQL 4.1.2 or later uses utf8, and earlier versions use latin1."

How to repeat:

Thank you for your bug report. This issue has been addressed in the documentation. The updated documentation will appear on our website shortly.

Removed the "and earlier versions" clause, which makes no sense past MySQL 4.1.
