On Windows 7, aero skin disabled, win 2000 skin activated and all fancy effects disabled (meaning maximum performance) you can not really read the text at the bottom.

How to repeat:
On Windows 7, aero skin disabled, win 2000 skin activated and all fancy effects disabled.
Screen Resoultion 1920x1200

Suggested fix:
Bigger fontsize

i also disabled cleartype.

with cleartype activated it looks a bit better

Some of the "fancy" effects however exist to make your life easier (like cleartype). Disabling that is asking for trouble.

Fixed as of the upcoming MySQL Workbench 6.3.9 release, and here's the changelog entry:

Font sizes were increased in the Home screen for improved readability.
