Bug #74442 starting mySQL server local instance makes the workbench hang

Description:
Just installed the latest version of mySQL workbench. Im new to this. Im a student and for my DBMS class i needed a DB. I just opened the workbench and created a new connection with default parameters in the local system (127.0.01). Then I opened that instance and went to startup/shutdown. Clicked start server and it got hung.

How to repeat:

Thank you for the bug report. I couldn't repeat be sure that the server was started (see prior pictures attached).
