Description:
I am reporting on behalf of a large enterprise organization. We have 1 client machine whose mysql install repeatedly crashes. The log reports numerous transaction rollbacks, and it generally recovers itself and moves on. Sometimes it cannot recover, and at the end of the error log will be "invalid pointer" and a query. We have mysql analysis process though level 6(? out IT did this, I'm trying to recall). We've run disk health checks. We have PRTG monitor setup and it is reporting nothing out of the ordinary, though we are not sure what we are looking for. I have error log file to send but don't see how to attach.

How to repeat:
Not reproducible on demand, but happens frequently for 1 client machine out of hundreds in our network on mysql 5.5.17

Thank you for the bug report. Your server version is quite older 5.5.17! please try current release 5.5.40. Thanks.
