I agree completely. This need to be developed, it will be very helpful. I need to copy my SQL statements to Notepad ++ to see clearly the matching parenthesis. Greetings!

Agree, I cut/paste my queries into an editor that highlights the matching parenthesis. This would be really helpful!

Already 10 minutes on the web to search for this, eventually it's not supported, yet. So yes, I vote for this feature.

Posted by developer: Fixed as of the upcoming MySQL Workbench 8.0.16 release, and here's the changelog entry: The script editor now supports highlighting a matching pair of parenthesis when one of the pair is selected. Thank you for the bug report.
