Description:
Hi,

Lintian checks on 5.6.17 server packages in native repo for Debian and Ubuntu have reported following formatting issues with man pages as mentioned below:

# usr/share/man/man1/mysqladmin.1.gz 37: warning [p 1, 1.5i]: can't break line
# usr/share/man/man1/mysqladmin.1.gz 37: warning [p 1, 1.5i]: can't break line
# usr/share/man/man1/mysqldump.1.gz 1213: warning [p 8, 2.7i, div `3tbd3,1', 0.3i]: can't break line
# usr/share/man/man1/mysqldump.1.gz 1213: warning [p 8, 2.7i, div `3tbd3,1', 0.3i]: can't break line
# usr/share/man/man1/mysqlbinlog.1.gz 1717: warning [p 9, 8.8i, div `3tbd3,2', 0.8i]: can't break line
# usr/share/man/man1/mysqlbinlog.1.gz 1717: warning [p 9, 8.8i, div `3tbd3,2', 0.8i]: can't break line

More details for this error can be found on this link:
http://lintian.debian.org/tags/manpage-has-errors-from-man.html

How to repeat:
On Debian or Ubuntu machine:

1) Download client and server package from:
   https://packages.debian.org/experimental/amd64/mysql-server-5.6/download
   https://packages.debian.org/experimental/amd64/mysql-client-5.6/download

2) Run lintian on the downloaded packages:
   lintian PATH/TO/DEB

Suggested fix:
I believe this is related to handling of Hyphenation on the above mentioned lines in the man pages.

I don't see how this can be verified unless it can be found in our own packages using tools that are not specific to a distro.

IMO this should be closed as !BUG.

I concur. Anyway, these are not-uncommon warnings from groff for all kinds of documents, in my experience.
