Description:
I'm unable to define new database objects in VS .NET 2003/2002 environments because MyODBC driver doesn't work as "standard" drivers would behave. So, this feature is not possible to use at all at the moment.

How to repeat:
1. Select "ODBC Connection" object from the toolbox and drop it to the project (asp.net type).
2. Select objects properties and select connection string->new connection.
3. After this normal odbc connection setup dialog is shown and you can "fill in" required stuff as usual.
4. After selecting driver etc, you get an error dialog saying that not all your driver stuff is ok. "Please reinstall your driver"...

Thank you for your bug report. This issue has already been fixed in the latest released version of that product, which you can download at

  http://www.mysql.com/downloads/

Explanation: The problem can not be reproduced with MyODBC 3.51.17GA and VS2005Pro SP1 on WinXP Pro SP2. Tools / Connect to Database, change provider to ODBC, pick a DSN, test connection. Everything works as expected.
