Description:
The ALTER TABLE..CONVERT TO CHARACTER SET.. command can be used to change the character set.

However it also modifies the collation. If no collation is specified it will use the default collation for the character set.

It would be helpful if mysql would give an error if one or more columns are changed from a case sensitive to a case insensitive character set.
