Description:
I've been trawling through the scant documentation on this and whilst there are instructions on how to set up openssl certs for mysql, it isn't clear how to skip the default secure authentication on upgrade to MySQL 5.6.

Given that you now force this in MySQL 5.6 some users will upgrade and quickly need to get around this problem when they do not wish to set up SSL.

Please produce some clear documentation on the settings required to disable required SSL to prevent server downtime.

How to repeat:
Upgrade to 5.6 and do not set up SSL keys

Suggested fix:
Clear documentation required.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us, but this is not a bug. Please double-check the documentation available at http://dev.mysql.com/doc/ and the instructions on
how to report a bug at http://bugs.mysql.com/how-to-report.php

You can have accounts which do not REQUIRE SSL in the first place. Also you don't need to remove SSL access if you want to upgrade to 5.6.

Anyway, you can update grant tables directly as described at http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/grant-table-structure.html
