Hi! Seems like most file format in MySQL is covered in upstream libmagic / file: https://github.com/file/file/blob/fd04f3df822e3934c557cf282615a61c04ca2324/magic/Magdir/sq... I would suggest to remove support-files/magic from MySQL sources and refer users to upstream file /libmagic.

I think that's a perfect solution.

Posted by developer: Fixed in 8.0.15. The support-files/magic file was removed from the MySQL source tree. Most MySQL file formats are covered by operating system file type capabilities.
