The following page still contains "Installation requires approximately 450MB of disk space for MySQL Enterprise Service Manager." https://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql-monitor/3.0/en/mem-reference-requirements.html According to the 3.0.5 installer the minimum is 1024 MB (1GB). So this bug doesn't seem to be fixed. - Make sure the installer and documentation agree about the minimum required disk space. - If possible: give some rough estimates how much disk space would be needed for 10, 100 and 1000 monitored instances for 4 weeks.

Fixed. Offending appendix removed. Regarding second request, this is something we're looking into.
