I am using Windows 8.1 and have installed a previous version of mysql installer. When I tried to download it using the functionality of the mysql installer, the dowload window is shown, but no download happens. When I download the new installer manually as MSI (Web Version or Non Web Version) the installation of the new version fails with the message "Failed to find node //Product Code..." (see files).

When I uninstall the previous version of the MySQL intaller and than install the newer version, the installation via MSI file is successful.
