After upgrading to VS 2013 and upgrading to mySQL for VS 1.0.2, mySQL is not listed as an available server type in VS.

When attempting to uninstall 1.0.2 via the mySQL installer for rei-install, uninstall fails as follows:

  Removing system registry values
  Unpublishing Product Features
  Unpublishing assembly information
  Updating component registration
  1: MySQL for Visual Studio 1.0.2 2: {0D406BCC-D62A-46FB-9AB7-A7BF10FB8B31} 3:3

The product MySQL for Visual Studio failed to remove successfully.

Attempts at removal via the Control Panel fail (rollback from partial removal).

Attempts a repair via the control panel fail.

Can't reinstall via mySQL installer as program is already installed.

How to repeat:
My install sequence was install of VS 2013 w/o removal of VS 2012, followed by installation of mySQL for VS 1.0.2.

I have the same problem. I cannot remove the "MySQL for Visual Studio 1.0.2" component, nor can I upgrade it. Add/remove programs does not work. The MySQL Installer utility does not work. I am stuck.

The log file seems to mention Visual Studio 2008, which I no longer have installed, but which I did have when I installed the MySql software initiallyI am unsure if that is relevant information.

I am attaching the log file.

Attaching the log file from running msiexec -x mysql-visualstudio-plugin-1.0.2.msi.

Was finally able to successfully uninstall using the free version of Revo Uninstaller, via the default settings.
