Hartmut Holzgraefe
Audit logging happens on the server side, it simply doesn't know what the user on the client side is. This information is neither part of the mysql client protocol nor the underlying transport mechanisms. There are even client platforms that do not have a "OS User" concept, like e.g. http://drcharlesbell.blogspot.de/2013/04/introducing-mysql-connectorarduino_6.html

I have to take sides with Hartmut here. Sorry, but this is not a bug.
