Description:
The MEM 3 installer does not create the /etc/init.d/ startup script.
This is the same for sudo or direct root access, text or GUI installer.

How to repeat:
$ sudo /path/to/mysqlmonitor-3.0.2.2900-linux-x86_64-installer.bin

...
Service Manager User Account

You are installing as root, but it's not good practice for the Service Manager
to run under the root user account.
...
Configuration Report

You have not installed the MySQL Enterprise Monitor as the root user.
...

Tested on Centos 6 64-bit and Ubuntu Precise 64-bit.

I am an idiot - it creates the script, it only says it didn't.
