As noted by my Facebook friend Federico Razzoli, the description for --version-check in the summary table at http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/mysql-upgrade.html (copied from the previous row).

Detailed description below the table is correct.

Suggested fix:
Update the table based on detailed description and fix formatting.
