Please check if workaround mentioned in http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=70262 (see workaround renaming the folder) applies to your case. Thanks.

He did the below: [6 Sep 16:20] Carlos Teevin Ok guys, no need to answer my post, the problem is fixed, I just renamed the folder "C:\Users\yourUsername\AppData\Roaming\MySQL\Workbench" that was previously created by an earlier used version (recommended on previous post).

well I just mnow tried to install the mysql workbench [and all of the other components] into the path which carlos teevin said worked for him : "C\users\username\appdata\roaming\mysql\workbench" but it utterly failed for me! I mainly have a problem with configuring the mysql server 5.7. Can someone please try to help me again?

I have an issue when opening MySQL work bench, as there is a Exception Thrown error once it has been opened. How would I resolve this issue?

Well mI tried to install W.B. 6.0.9 but I still get the same old error as before! It indicated that I have the Maria database, version 10 someting, linked to workbench and that it wants mysql 5.5, 5.6 or 5.7 [to be linked to]. How do I go about correcting this problem short of deleting maria or do I really have to do that to get workbench working properly for me?

Please try with a community-MySQL server if works then open a bug report with MariaDB. Thanks.
