Fixed it by deleting the Workbench folder in the Roaming folder

Would you still have the contents of the original WB folder? If so, could you review it for anything private and attach a zip here?

Sorry, found that I emptied my recycling bin already.

Cool Aaron
I had this problem as well. I'd open Workbench and immediately get a crash as well. Noticing this comment, I tried deleting the Workbench folder from Roaming. Solved the problem. To try to help determine what's causing the crash, I've saved a .zip file of my error-causing Workbench folder. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be very helpful, because after opening Workbench again with a cleared Roaming folder, I restored the folder to its original state using the .zip archive. Now Workbench will load even with the old files back in place. Very odd.

I had the same problem on windows 7 64bit, I found that just deleting the wb_options.xml file cleared the problem for me without losing saved connections.
