MySQL Utilities is platform independent and can be installed on Mac OS X from the source package. Download the source package and untar/unzip it then execute the following in the root of the new folder: sudo python ./setup.py install Be sure to download and install the Connector/Python product as it is a prerequisite.

Works for me, although it is little harsh for os x users: other platforms have installers...

We also added this to the documentation: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/workbench/en/mysql-utils-intro-install.html

Fixed as of the upcoming MySQL Utilities 1.3.6 / 1.4.1 releases, and here's the changelog entry: An Installer package (DMG) was added for Mac OS X. A workaround was to compile the MySQL Utilities from source. Thank you for the bug report.
