I am on Windows 7 64 bit, and using Workbench 6. Logitech mouse and driver My mouse is problematic. When workbench is open cutting and pasting is difficult if not impossible. This affects other app like excel. When workbench is closed the mouse works as it should. Thge cursor blinks and is not responsive for several seconds at the time. This started when I loaded the beta of workbench then uninstalled it to go back to 5.47.

I have this problem on both my Desktop and Ultrabook. They are both running Windows 7 64 bit. The Desktop runs Professional and the Ultrabook runs Home Premium. The only hardware similarities between the two systems are Intel processors. A 2nd gen i3 and the others a 3rd gen i7. Besides this bug being extremely annoying, it causes significant battery drain for the ultrabook. Hovering the mouse over the SQL editor raises the MySQLWorkbench.exe thread to 3-5% processor load. Moving the mouse across the SQL editor loads the processor to 20-25% -An entire cpu core. The ultrabook cpu is the i3-2377 @ 1.5ghz. For the desktop. Moving the cursor across the editor raises the load from MySQLWorkbench.exe to 12%. Which is also an entire core for the i7-3770k @ 3.7Ghz. I'm using Workbench 6.0.7.11215.

Fixed as of MySQL Workbench 6.0.8, and here's the changelog entry: On Microsoft Windows, the mouse pointer inside a SQL Editor tab would rapidly change from pointer to cursor when the mouse was moved, thus creating a repeatedly flashing event. Thank you for the bug report.
