I'm having the same issue on my Win8 Pro x64 with VS2012 Professional.

Inspecting the connection with Fiddler, the GET call to "http://cdn.mysql.com/Downloads/MySqlInstaller//mysql-visualstudio-plugin-1.0.2.msi" (HTTP/1.1)
is answered with a HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found - File not found."

Hi,

There was a known prob with the web installer when gathering "MySql for Visual Studio".

But is not fixed (just tried with MySQL Installer 5.6.14) at
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/installer/

Another option is to try the full bundle (which does not require download). But the original problem seems fixed.

Can you confirm?
