Description:
The Windows Installer does not allow the user to specify a custom path, where the installer will install the selected components to.

Individual product installs allow the user to specify a custom path for the core component, namely where the installer will install the product to.

This functionality is lost, when using the new Windows Installer.

On product updates, the Windows Installer should know that a custom path was used and then use that as the base or allow the user for a new path.

How to repeat:
Not implemented yet, so easy.

Suggested fix:
Add the missing feature.
