Description:
When connecting to a remote database via ssh, it would be nice if Workbench could optionally read database credentials from ~/.my.cnf on the remote server.

I administer many servers where I don't have the password readily available, but it is stored on the server.

This request is a follow-up from forum post http://forums.mysql.com/read.php?152,588539,588539#msg-588539

How to repeat:
1. Setup new connection
2. choose connection method "Standard TCP/IP over SSH"
3. Specify ssh and database connection details

Suggested fix:
Ability to optionally omit MySQL Username/Password, perhaps with a checkbox, or a field to specify where the remote configuration file is located, probably defaulting to ~/.my.cnf.

Thank you for posting a feature request. This is a security issue and would pose a risk, thus we'd rather not implement such a feature. We're looking at other features that would simplify password management across a group of servers.
