Description:
Unable to connect either with usernames with longer than 16 characters or usernames with '@' symbol. I have an account which begins with 22 characters and contains an @ symbol and I always get this error:

domain ("XXXXX") not found, Disconnecting

Where XXXXX contains my username up to 16 characters. I'm not sure if the bug is in the length or that it contains an @

How to repeat:
Put a username longer than 16 characters and/or that contains an @ symbol.

This also occurs under MYSQL Query Browser as well.

Hi,

First of all, in MySQL username can't be longer than 16 characters.
I tested both MySQL Query Browser and MySQL Administrator, but I was able successfully connect using username with '@' character.
What version of MySQL Administrator do you use?

I'm using the latest version of mySQL administrator.

The strange thing is I am able to log in using any other method (via yourSQL - mac OSX,
phpmyadmin), to have access to the mySQL database. You say that characters over 16 are not
allowed? I'm not sure how I am accessing using those two methods then??
